The Voris Dixon Company (VDC) started building components parts in 1976 for other BMX Cycle Companies, including GT BMX, after five years in the retailing business. In 1982, VDC came out its first prototype for the Changa. A review of this bike is available in BMX Bi-Weekly, Volume 3, issue 12. - 1983. In 1983, The VDC manufactured a large proportion of framesets for serveral companies while still pursuing the VDC Beastie Group. At this time VDC employed four people .

fabricating BMX frames. Combining “Old School” and “New School”, VDC in introducing the Changa II. It is a combination of the fabricating techniques and look of the old Changa while adding the desired features of new technology.
Old School is still seen in the large top and down tubes and the double piercing of the Head Tube.
New School : Mid BB, 1-1/8” steerer tube, one inch seat post and thicker dropouts |
